Default New Barrage/Volley Animation

Two of my favorite Bow Attacks!!!

I think it would be cool to see the Ranger pull and shoot 3 or 6 individual arrows (depending on the attack used) instead of a single pull attack. The result wouldn't change game-play; aim for the middle of a crowd and fire. Only the animation would change; strafing a compact group and inflicting damage on multiple targets simultaneously.

Dual Shot is one pull with two arrows (Volley could be similar), but Barrage is rapid fire at multiple targets in a compact area.

Just a thought.

I think that this groups in with the request for changing multiple animations, which has pretty much been voted down by the community.

Here are 2 such threads (one seems to be more or less for, other is more or less against)

Unnecessary. Neat, but not needed.
Like [skill]Dual Shot[/skill] or [skill]Triple Shot[/skill]. Seeing the ranger have 3 arrows on their bow is neat, but, again, unnecessary.

Dual Shot fires 2 arrows no matter what. Even if the first arrow kills the target, the second arrow was still fired. Barrage and Volley do not always fire the same number of arrows. Fire Barrage at a group of 6, but 2 of them are out of range, and you shoot 4 arrows. Asking the game to calculate numbers that can change is very difficult, and probably not possible.

For instance. If you fire Barrage at a group of 3 monsters, and all 3 are in range, you would be firing 3 arrows. Now, lets say you are using a Flatbow without Favorable Winds. The arrows will take longer than normal to reach the targets. During that time, suppose 3 more monsters move into range. Does the skill hit 3, since you fired at 3, or does it hit 6 because when the arrows reached the target, there were 6?

Would be nice, but not needed, and probably not possible.

MagmaRed explained the one flaw with this. Really, all the arrows need to be fired at the same time (otherwise you could move and "cancel" it like a spell after firing a few arrows). Otherwise there are just too many odd things to take into account.
